TNW – Proposed New Spawn =POLL=

I would like to make the proposition of a new spawn location. Seemingly off-world, it will be safe from creatures and pvp, will later feature a server guide and will also provide portals to both established locations (ala arroyo valley, cinder) and also wilderness locations so that you can jump into pvp fast. in the future, there’s the possibility of using the portal chamber as a bridge to entirely new worlds.

Spawn will remain at Arroyo Valley until the poll expires or we get a heavy vote. images for the WIP portal chamber below;

    I believe that the teleport’s would be great for getting around the map for the with no /sethome command but this is something that i’ve never seen on the ancient world and feels not right for me so I’m yet to place a vote

    In my opinion, I like the feel of spawn being a civilization of sorts, as it provides a realistic setting along with valuable ambience. It also provides an open place of gathering, compared to the small room filled with portals.

    A portal spawn chamber reminds me of those megaservers that have portals to different servers (I.E. Creative, Survival, Hunger games, etc.) and does not appeal to me.

    Yeah i’d like to agree with xxoverachieverxx a few teleports are fine but not to get around the whole server

    Voting no for same reason as Overachiever; ruins the survival ambiance of spawn. Instead of, “the world is here and I am a part of it” it becomes “The world is over there and I have to project myself onto it.”

    While the idea of teleportation seems easy i don tthink its in the best interest of the server to do so. During Age of Darkness 2 teleporters were heavily abused and used to quickly get in and kill people in a town then go back through to the spawn chamber’s protection to avoid death. Perhaps a teleporter cooldown or something would work. However in my eye’s I like things how they are without the teleporters. Or keep the idea you have going with Arroyo as the town being spawn but teleporters in the vicinity as transportation not a entirely different spawn chamber. Could lead to strong abuse of power.
